Have You Tried Using Hybrid Embossing Folders?

Happy Friday!!!  February is coming to an end and so is Sale-a-Bration 2024.  BUT-----the Spring Mini is full of lots of beautiful and fun stamps, dies, papers, and more!

Have you ever tried Stampin' Up!'s Hybrid Embossing Folders?  You can add color and texture, while die cutting images.  This week my class had two projects that used them. The first one used our gorgeous DSP, Forever Love, along with Gold Foil paper."Celebrate" was one of ten sentiments die cut from the foil paper.  To use, place die (cut side up) in the embossing folder side with the SU logo. Then place your foil paper (foil side down) on top of the die.  Run through die cut machine and you end up with ten textured sentiments to use.  Warning---it is a tight fit, so you'll get a workout!  Be sure to run the fold end of the embossing folder through first to get a clean cut and not break the folder.

The second card uses ink directly onto the inside of the embossing folder (Brayer ink onto the side with the logo).  Put the die on top of ink, cutting side up, and lay a 6x6" piece of white cardstock on top.  Run through die cut machine.  During my class, we decided it is easier (and a lot less messy) to use Stampin' Blends to fill in the sentiment.  Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder creates a stunning background. 

Here's another card that we made a couple of weeks ago that also uses a Hybrid Embossing Folder---Adoring Hearts Bundle.  Brayer ink directly onto embossing folder. layer die, then cardstock.  It creates nine textured hearts and a fun heart frame.

The 2023-24 has other Hybrid Embossing Folders/Bundles, too.
