Aspen Grove & Stamp Positioner!

Finally!  It's HERE--Stampin' Up! has a new stamping alignment tool that makes stamping easier and more accurate.  It allows you to stamp precisely aligned images, create repeating patterns and Two-Step Stampin' images easily, and make projects in minutes.  You know I'm not an exact stamper and tend to eye-ball things, but this had definitely improved my accuracy.

AND---SU if offering the Stamp Positioner to you FREE when you join SU for $99 between 2/3--3/2 ($49 value); You still get to choose $125 in products

Now to today's card--Aspen Grove. Thanks to Connie Babbert for this great idea and yes, I used my new Stamp Positioner.
      Perfect every time!!

Lovely & Beautiful Card

I find that I'm getting anxious for Spring.  Yes, it only lasts a short time here in the desert, but I don't like the cold.  Very thankful I'm not in the Mid-West or Back East where it's freezing. So---here's a card that I hope gets you in the mood for the coming season---And yes, we'll be making this card next week in my classes.  Live out of town?  Make a $50 purchase by 1/30 and I'll send you all the pieces to make this card (except the sentiment).  Don't forget, you'll also get a $5 coupon from SU to use in Feb.

Lovely & Beautiful is a suite that has the stamps, dies, papers, and more altogether in one package.  I did use sentiments from other sets, too.  I don't go to many weddings these days.  The flowers and sentiments are brushed with Bubble Bath ink to add a bit of color.

Fragrant Layers Cards --2 of them!

Today, I've got two cards using the same bundle, Fragrant Layers.  These flowers are just beautiful.  There's a little trick in getting everything to line up.  It's different than what you're used to. Die cut the floral frame.  It crops into the card stock instead of cutting the outside edge.  Thanks to Weyermann's Whimsy (has video) and Brian King for their great ideas!

Before stamping on the card stock that goes behind the frame (which is a bit smaller than the frame), use the frame as a stencil and mark the top and bottom edges of the flowers so you have a guide.  Stamp the solid image onto the card stock, then the detail stamp (which adds the leaves).  Go back and stamp the inside of the leaves.  Layer the card stock together.  You have a bit of wiggle room to fit the frame over that you have stamped.

Another Endless Love Card

Last week, I got to share this fun card with the ladies in the Beginning Card Class at the Anthem Center here in Henderson.  Most had used an embossing folder before, but only a few had inked the folder first, then ran it through the SU Emboss and Cut Machine.  When you do this, be sure to ink up the side that is raised, not the de-bossed side.  Be sure to use a brayer to spread the ink around.  We all laughed at my reddish hands because my group's name is Inkyfingers!  There are endless possibilities using a folder this way.  Hope you'll give it a try---
