Botanical Expression

I find myself constantly coming back to the Hydrangea Hue color. I just can't seem to use it enough!

Using the Botanical Expressions die creates a softness to the card.  Begin by masking off  the bottom half of the card; randomly stamp the large and small flowers from the Simply Beautiful set in Hydrangea Hue; then stamp the leaf/flower in Soft Sea Foam.  Die cut the leaf die on the bottom half, leaving an edge;  die cut another set of leave from Hydrangea Hue and adhere behind leaves on card front; offset it a bit so the Hydrangea Hue shows.

Stamp your sentiment; layer onto a strip of Hydrangea Hue and attach to card front with Dimensionals; add some bling; layer entire card to Hydrangea Hue card stock.

Measurements:

White Card Stock: 5-1/4" x 8" scored at 4"; 3/4" x 3" for sentiment           Hydrangea Hue:  4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (card back); 1" x 3-1/4"; 2" 2 5-1/2" strip to die cut and offset on card

Shimmering Web of Fun Card

It's hard to believe that Halloween will soon be here--Costco already has costumes and displays!  Here's a cute card created by Mary Deatherage that uses spiders in a non-spooky way.

This card is sparkly and non-scary that could be used for any occasion you want to celebrate.  It uses both Shimmering Stripes Specialty DSP (back layer) and 2026-28 In Color Pearlized Paper (web), both in the July Online Exclusives.
Begin by adhering a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Shimmering Stripes to a Secret Sea mat that's just a bit larger.  Adhere to Berry Burst as your card base.
Using the large Web of Fun die, cut out a Barely Blush web from the Pearlized Paper and adhere it to the card front with little dabs of Liquid Glue.
Cut out a little banner out of Pearlized Paper, using the die in the set.  Cut out "BOO" in Berry Burst and adhere to the banner with Liquid Glue.  Use Black Dimensionals to adhere it to the card front.
Cut out three of the cute spiders out of Secret Sea and adhere to card front with Black Dimensionals and the card is almost done.  Don't forget the inside can use a stamped spider web and spider!

Framed Violets Card

Good Morning---I'm finding that I'm drawn to projects using Stampin' Up!'s purples (Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Hydrangea Hue).  This card uses products from the Violets Dream Suite.  The DSP is beautiful and is the center-piece of the card.  Thanks to Weyermann's Whimsey for the inspiration.

The first layer on the card base is DSP, but the next layer is stamped and then the edges are scraped with open scissors to create a roughed look.  The flower center is die cut with the oval die using DSP.  Layer it onto the scallop die (included in set) cut out of Gorgeous Grape.  Add some Peaceful Pine ribbon and rhinestones and you've got a great-looking card.  It's ready for whatever sentiment you need to add.

Simply Leaves Fall Card

Now that the 4th of July is behind us and temps this week are to be in the 100's,  I hoping that doing a "Fallish" cards will help cool things down a bit. This leaf card (inspired by Amy K.) comes from the New July Online Exclusives.  The stamp set and leaf bunch come as a bundle.

The Stone & Vine Embossing Folder has a bit of color added in Pecan Pie around the edges with a blending brush.  It gives a bit of contrast.  The leaves are stamped on paper from Paper Medley Mix-In DSP and on basic white. The strip on the leaves is also from this DSP.  Sentiment comes from Words & Wishes, along with the die for the sentiment.  Add a Linen Thread Bow and bling from Gold Textured Adhesive Back Dots and your card is complete. Don't forget to stamp a few leaves on a white insert for the inside!  Enjoy!!!
