I recently saw a card by Kelly Acheson that reminded of an easy, classy technique that I love -- INLAY! So of course I had to "case" it and change it just a bit. It's pretty simple to do, but can be somewhat "gluey." You'll need your Tombow glue and a Silicone Mat (for the gluey part).
Look closely at the texture on the card. That's the inlay and it's created with an embossing folder! Cool, Right?
Simply die cut your leaves (or any other shapes), spread glue all over the backs of the shapes (this is where the Silicone Mat is handy), and glue them down on your cardstock. It's okay to goof the edges. Once it's all glued, trim the edges. I was able to add trimmed off pieces to the cardstock, too. Then run it through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with an embossing folder to create the inlay.
Of course the inside of the card needed something, too. The Love of Leaves Bundle has not only the leaf dies, but an embossing die too that adds some texture to the inside. Let me know what you think--
