Don't you just love adding texture to your projects?  I find that having layers on my cards makes them look so much better.  To add texture, all you need is Stampin' Up!'s Texture Boutique and an embossing folder.  It is designed just for this purpose.  You can't use Framelits or Dies with it (that requires the Big Shot), but if texture is all that interests you, it's the perfect machine.
