Since I'm not the most patient at watercoloring, I found a Quick Wash to be easy.  

• Keep Aqua Painter on the dry side.  If it's too wet, the paper will start pilling.
• Squeeze ink pad before opening. Paint off of pooled ink on the lid with the Aqua Painter.
• Color images quickly with a fast swipe across them - use a light touch
