Adorable Owls

It's a snow flurries kind of day here in the desert.  BIG Flakes are coming down!  The kind of day where I'm staying home in warm, comfy clothes enjoying looking out the window!  It makes for a perfect day of stamping, too........

Here are some Adorable Owls I wanted to share with you---(the set is a Freebie from the Saleabration catalog and are a BIG hit with stampers!). 

These particular owls are on 3-1/2 x 3-1/2" cards that are perfect as cards for gifts--no envelope needed.  To make, cut Basic White CS 3-1/2 x 7" and score at 3-1/2". A 3-1/2" square of Pool Party CS was run through the Die Cut & Emboss Machine using the Timber Embossing Folder was added to the front of the card.  Use the Stitched with Whimsy die on a 2-3/4" square of Basic White to add some design.  Stamp owls with Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin' Blends.  I used the light color of the pairs of blends---Night of Navy, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate, and a Color Lifter to lighten for shading.  Add Black & White Gingham Ribbon and some Glossy Dots and you're done!!
